There is a strong emphasis on elements of nature,such as the changing seasons, diverse flora, wildlife, and domesticated animals which reflects the Indian cultural ethos of reverence for all living beings and the belief in living in harmony with nature.
I have also explored a range of human emotions happiness, love, anger, pain, and forgiveness all of which are integral to the human experience.
I am a woman who comes from a lineage of strong, independent, intelligent, and resilient women who have stood their ground and accomplished whatever they set their minds to. My art celebrates women in all their forms, embracing and expressing their authentic selves

Madhubani

PRIYA ART
Madhubani paintings are a traditional form of Indian art originating from the Mithila region of Bihar. Pattachitra

Pattachitra paintings are traditional Indian art forms that originate from the state of Odisha. Known for their intricate designs and mythological narratives, these paintings are typically created on cloth dried palm leaves using natural colors. The term 'Pattachitra' is from 'Pattachitra' meaning 'cloth picture,' highlighting the medium used. These artworks often depict stories from Hindu scriptures, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship of the region.

Kalamakari

Kalamkari is a traditional Indian art form of hand-painting or block-printing on fabric, using natural dyes. The word comes from “kalam” (pen) and “kari” (craftsmanship). Artists use a bamboo pen to create intricate designs, often depicting Hindu mythology, epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata, nature, and floral motifs. Originating mainly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Kalamkari is known for its earthy colors, detailed patterns, and storytelling style.
